Storage and moth care
A summer away from the moths.
Moths go for soiled wool. A rug that goes into storage should go in clean.
We wash the rug first, dry it flat, roll it with the pile and wrap it in paper with cedar. It lies on a rack off the floor until you call.
Washed and dried before it goes into storage
Rolled with the pile, wrapped in paper with cedar, never plastic
Kept flat on a rack, off the floor
A photograph when it goes in and when it comes out
Back on your floor when you call

Questions about this job.
Do you use mothballs?
No. We use cedar and paper wrap, which lower the odds but can't promise a rug stays free of moths.
Why not plastic?
Wool needs to breathe. Plastic holds moisture against it.
What happens if I don't collect it?
We call, text and write before any storage terms apply. The details are on our policies page.

Tell us the size and when you want it back. We'll write with a pickup day.
